45th annual GULFCOAST LECTURESHIP

FROM PAIN TO PRAISE!

The church of Christ at Thomas Blvd is serving as the host congregation for this year’s lectureship. The starting times for the sessions are indicated on the flyer above. Arrangements have been made for several guest speakers. The Keynote speaker will be Dr. Jefferson Caruthers of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Each participating congregation is being asked to give $200.00 to assist in defraying the cost of the Lectureship. Please submit funds to:

In November, we will begin our Annual Family Services of Southeast Texas Women’s and Children’s Shelter Holiday Toy and Gift Drive. We will begin collecting donations throughout November and end collecting Monday, December 12, 2022. More details to come.

Fall Fest (Chili Cook-Off)

BROTHERS CHILI COOK-OFF……This is a time for the Brothers to exhibit their cooking skills. Contestants can enter 1 or All of three categories. The categories are: Chili, Salad, and/or Dessert. Meet us under the Pavillion at 500 Proctor St. in Port Arthur. It will be a fun filled time for youth. There will be treats and games available. Weather permitting, we will also go over to the water park. (Bring a change of clothing) We will be returning to the church building for the FALL FEST program that starts at 6:30pm

We are so very excited! ALL roads lead to Thomas Blvd church of Christ on November 6 beginning with our Bible Study at 9am. Our Worship service will begin at 10am. Our message will be presented by our Revival guest speaker, Bro. Lamont Ross of the Mersailles Ave church of Christ. Monday through Wednesday Revival Services will begin at 6pm each evening. Brother Ross will have special sessions that are listed below: Sunday 11/6 @6pm, Brothers will meet, on Monday 11/17 @7:15pm, Married couples will meet, and on Tuesday 11/18 @7:15pm Singles will meet

On Saturday, Nov 5, we will meet at 8am and prepare cards, eat a continental breakfast, & leave at 9:40am for Oak Grove Nursing Home to visit from 10:00 to 11:15. MASK are required by the facility for entry. Funds will be needed to purchase cards and placemats.

Responsibility to Edify, Aid, & Care for the Homeless! The Evangelism Ministry will go out into the homeless community to distribute care packages consisting of needed items, snacks, spiritual pamphlets, & needed resource information. The following donated items are needed: Nail clippers, Razors (Men & Women), Travel Sz. Shaving Cream, Face Towels, Wet Wipes, Travel Sz. Facial Tissue, Tootbrush/Travel Sz. Toothpaste, Hairbrushes, Combs, Soap Deodorant, Socks, Travel Sz. Hand Sanitizer, Travel Sz.
